Today, it was brought to my attention that I let classes, and the fact that I’m not doing as well as I feel I should be in them, get to me and bring me down.

It is not even March yet and already there have been 18 school shootings in the U.S. Eighteen!
It’s almost as if this number is screaming at people for something to change, but instead people decided to argue over what characterizes a “school shooting.”Â
I’m sure you are all aware that germs are making their way through campus. You can constantly hear people coughing in class, people on the streets saying, “my throat feels a little itchy…,” etc.
So, I want to take a moment to discuss the phenomenon that is sports. This is unlike me because, for those of you who don’t know me, I don’t follow sports at all.
This week, I was really struggling to decide on what to write, and I realized that, actually, I have nothing to say.
Many academically-advanced students hope to be invited into an honors program when they get to college. However, how does this work in a school such as Stevens where the majority of students are used to being the best of the best?

This week, I was reminded of the importance of taking care of yourself. I know, personally, that it is really easy to get roped into too many responsibilities.
During times like these, we are reminded that the world can be a scary place. It seems like the world is only filled with hatred, violence, and darkness.
