Students and alumni volunteered in the 91st Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 23. The Thanksgiving celebration parade is broadcast each year on national television.

On Wednesday, Oct. 29, the Office of Residence Life hosted “Plate of Culture” in Jacobus Lounge. The event was meant to educate students about various cultures and how they celebrate their respective holidays.
The American Institute of Chemical Engineers, also known as AlChe, hosted “Thermite Hot Chocolate” last Wednesday. Steve Bosomworth, President of AIChE, ran the event to teach participants about thermite.

The American Chemical Society (ACS) held Game Night in Hayden Lounge on Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 7-9 p.m. There were many prizes, including a periodic table pillowcase, beaker mugs, test tube shot cups, and T-shirts.
The Chinese Student Association (CSA) hosted ‘Hotpot Night’ on Tuesday, Nov. 14, in Babbio Atrium at 9 p.m. “Hotpot is a very traditional way of having dinner for Chinese people,” explained CSA Treasurer Sophia Hua, “the food takes a while to prepare, so people had to stay around, make new friends, catch up with others—the point of hotpot.”
The Stevens Irish Association, SIA, held Irish Pub Trivia Night on Tuesday, Nov. 14 at 9:15 p.m. in Kidde 360. Pizza, root beer, water, and skittles were served.
On Thursday, Amnesty International hosted the Oxfam Hunger Banquet, a dinner and educational event marked by sadness, reflection, and a desire to help people who are most in need.
