Stevens’ fencing team and DeBaun Performing Arts Center hosted The Vagina Monologues for the 17th year in a row at Stevens, this past Thursday.

This past week, a new SGA subcommittee was formed with the intention of making Stevens a Smoke-Free campus. Melanie Caba, one of the newly elected Sophomore Senators and committee head, proposed this idea and is leading the goal. 

The Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) is a global network that connects business owners to enhance their lives and businesses. On Feb. 17, the New Jersey chapter of EO hosted the regional Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) competition in Livingston, NJ. 

Stevens is currently participating in an international recycling competition called RecycleMania. Stevens’ own environmental organizations, ESW (engineers for a sustainable world) and SAVE (Students against violating the Earth), are competing with over 100 other schools from the US and Canada to see who can recycle the most per capita over a designated 8-week period.

Over 600 Stevens students have signed a petition formally requesting the Office of Residence Life to reconsider the newest housing policies which now mandate the purchase of any meal plan through Stevens dining services and no longer require students to purchase DuckBills.

In Korea, there is more than one holiday related to love. There’s the traditional Valentine’s day, where it is customary for the female partner to give a gift to the male.

In its official capacity, the Student Government Association stands to “provide for the general welfare of the Student Body”  and “govern the Student Body, and represent its interest”.
