When I started writing about science decades ago, artificial intelligence was ascendant. IEEE Spectrum, the technology magazine for which I worked, produced a special issue on how AI would transform the world.
It’s no secret that I love print media. I would rather read a physical book than an eBook, and the idea of flipping through a magazine on the beach is still as exciting to me now as it was when I was 11 years old reading Tiger Beat and Bop (who remembers those?)

On April 10, the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) will formally vote on whether to amend their recruitment policies to include nonbinary students by allowing individual sororities to determine “their definition of women.”
To me it has seemed there has always been a secret war between the East Coast and West Coast. There are various contrasting characteristics associated with each side of the United States and that includes their style and fashion choices.
Over the years, TechFest has been a Stevens tradition hosted by the Entertainment Committee (EC). Last year, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, EC was unable to plan the event, but this year, they’re back with the festivities.
Dr. Charles Suffel, a highly renowned professor of mathematical sciences in the School of Engineering and Science and a former Dean of Graduate Studies, recently passed away on February 4.
The weather is finally warming up and we all know what that means for this Jersey boy. Whenever I’m not working (or avoiding the things I should be doing), you can find me outside enjoying this beautiful weather.
All it took was a single blink for us to time travel all the way to April. Now here we are, registering for fall classes is around the corner and we’re a block away from finals.
