The types of people you’ll find in quarantine

Now that we’ve been out of school for a while, people have begun to fall into their personal Quarantine Routines. There are quite a few interesting people you’ll come across (six feet away, of course) while we’re still in lockdown, so I thought I’d save some time and break it down for you.

Without further ado, here are the nine people you’ll meet during the 2020 Quarantine:

1. The Indoor Gym Enthusiast

This person has taken the extra time to pick back up their New Year’s Resolutions they dropped sometime mid-January. They’ve discovered all of the workout videos on YouTube and they’re doing as many as they can. Not only does it help keep their mind off the impending boredom, but it also feels good to take care of themselves.

2. The Impromptu Artist

With extra time comes extra inspiration! This person has discovered the wonderful world of Pinterest and has decided to take up a few projects of their own. They might not all turn out exactly like they see online, but all that matters is they had fun doing it.

3. The TikToker

I don’t think I even have to explain this one. We all know someone who has learned the “Renegade” and how to “throw it back.” They’re also definitely not afraid to post about it on every social media account they have.

4. The Next Gordon Ramsey

Everyone has to make at least three meals a day, so why not make it interesting? This person is taking on some fun recipes to keep themselves busy — or they’re just learning to cook for the first time. Either way, they’re spending most of their extra time in the kitchen.

5. The Animal Crossing Obsessed

This one speaks for itself. Once you decide to download Animal Crossing, there’s no going back.

6. The Netflix/Hulu/Disney+ Binger

This person has a long to-watch list and they are not getting up from the couch until it’s finished. They’ve been adding to it for years and now is the perfect opportunity to catch up. This could also apply to avid readers who have a TBR pile stacked to the ceiling that they are finally getting the chance to work through.

7. The Night Owl

We all know someone who’s sleep schedule is totally wrecked. Go to bed at 3 a.m. and wake up at 2 p.m. every day? Sounds good to us. There’s no judgment here — as long as you catch up on any lectures you missed, you’re good to go.

8. The Self-Care Master

Face masks every day and bath bombs every night, this person knows how to take care of themselves during the quarantine. They’re living their best life, making sure they’re keeping up with their mental health during this hectic time.

9. The One Helping Society

This one applies to all of the above. No matter what you’re spending your time doing indoors, you’re doing your part in helping others stay safe. I know it can be difficult, but we’re all in this together and we’ll make it through if we stay smart.

Thank you for buckling down and staying indoors. When all of this is just a memory in a few months, I know you’ll be glad you did your part.
