This past weekend, the U.S. federal government entered into a shutdown. So what does this even mean? Basically, Congress could not pass a government funding bill through both houses getting the required amount of votes.

Many academically-advanced students hope to be invited into an honors program when they get to college. However, how does this work in a school such as Stevens where the majority of students are used to being the best of the best?
Let’s take a look at some of the most buzz-worthy artists of 2018. All of these artists have the potential to break through and dominate the music conversation, whether they are brand new acts or acts returning with new projects.
The 2018 Student Government Association President and Cabinet were inaugurated on the first day of class this semester. Former President Tommy Daly gave a goodbye speech, after which incumbent President Lucas Gallo took The Oath of Office of the President and gave his first public speech at the ceremony held in Babbio Atrium.

Over the last semester, the SGA’s Constitution and Bylaws Committee worked on creating a new constitution. After many debates and discussions, the Constitution and Bylaws Committee, then headed by the current Vice President of Operations Rami Kammourh, finalized the new constitution and opened voting to the student body.
Omega Phi Beta (OPB), the only multicultural sorority currently on Stevens’ campus, was founded in Spring 2016 in order to establish a supportive sisterhood for underrepresented women on campus.
As Japanese Councilwoman Yuka Ogata returned to her first day back at work from her maternity leave, the 42-year-old politician calmly sat in her front row seat in the council chambers with her 7-month-old son in her arms.
This year, as always, many new phones have come onto the market, making a purchase decision a tough task. It has been an especially hard year to make a choice, as there are many more high-quality offerings than usual, from manufacturers new and old.
