On Oct. 3, in response to the Board of Trustees’ decision to rename the planned academic complex from “Gianforte Academic Center” to “Gianforte Family Academic Center,” a group of current students and alumni launched a GoFundMe campaign titled “Stevens Name Your Price.”
“What amazed me most when I came to Stevens was that there are so many groups on campus and so many different and easy ways to get involved in the different music and performing arts ensembles or to even create your own group,” says Garrett Horwath, a freshman Civil Engineering major.

On Wednesday, Oct. 18, The Office of Residence Life hosted “Treat Yo’ Self” in Jacobus Lounge. The event was a way for students to “take some you time in the midst of exams.”
Hosted by the Take Back the Night Planning Committee and the Lore-El Center, Stevens students were introduced to the basics of self-defense this past Wednesday, October 18th during the academic break.
This past Wednesday, Oct. 18, the Korean Student Association (KSA) held its largest event of the semester: World Night Market. Although the event was hosted by KSA, the Black Student Union, Chinese Student Association, Filipino Association of Student Tech, Indian Undergraduate Association, and Latin American Association also participated in the event.
