Just relax or something

Ok so the semester is almost over, which means the year is almost over. I have successfully made it through all the stuff I was supposed to, and now there’s more stuff, but then it will actually be over, so it’s fine.

People love to ask, “How’s co-op? Is Co-op harder than school? And the answer is… weirdly no.

Because here’s the thing they don’t tell you: work ends.

The determinant of determination

I think this time around I’d like to start by saying that I am not a very smart man. At the time of writing this, I ran a marathon yesterday, and every step sends a wave of pain somehow all the way up to my shoulders.

This past weekend, I was home spending time with my family, and for my younger sister this was a godsend. Between the two of us, I have always been the “reader,” meanwhile there is nothing she would like to do less.

Food is my safe haven. Projects, quizzes, homework, meetings — my life has been stuck in a constant loop lately, and the only things bringing me peace right now are chocolate, ice cream, and solitaire (that one’s not food).

Title: Invisibility was not my superpower — And it’s not yours either

Like many of us, I grew up in a heteronormative world. My childhood was shaped by a loving family and a large public school, but it was a place where “normal” meant having a mom and a dad, boys with girlfriends, and cream-colored khakis — certainly not the pink chinos I preferred.

And so it begins…

A little less than two years ago, I was a freshman at Stute Weekend 2023. I didn’t know it then, but The Stute would become my on-campus home.
