On February 18, 2021, the new MakerCenter was launched at Stevens, After organized preparation since the Fall 2020 semester, the MakerCenter is available for use to all faculty, researchers, and students at Stevens, regardless of major or area of study.

During the course of the pandemic, there have been a fair share of COVID-19 cases at Stevens which have been documented.
On June 23, 2020, specific Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) goals and actions were endorsed by President Nariman Farvardin and Stevens Vice Presidents.
In November of 2020, the first issue of the Stevens newsletter, “Duck Med,” was published. Duck Med was created by Jeel Shah, 3/4 Biology major, and it features pre-health articles that both undergraduate students and professionals can participate in.

Sitting atop Castle Point Terrace and overlooking New York City are the two towers that will soon become the Student Housing and University Center at Stevens, a place with numerous facilities, offices, and dorms for students.
The Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) recently appointed Dr. Yi Guo from the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Schaefer School of Engineering and Science as the new Editor in Chief for the Robotics and Automation magazine.
Jeremy Livingston joined the Stevens Division of Information Technology (IT) in January 2021 as the new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). He has over 20 years of extensive experience in information technology and security across multiple organizations such as the United States Navy, the White House, for-profit and nonprofit private organizations, and as an adjunct cybersecurity professor in academia.
Last year’s virtual commencement ceremony was held on October 18, 2020. Commencement planning usually takes several months, and last year’s planning reportedly started in July of the previous year.
After years of informal lobbying for the establishment of a dedicated prayer and meditation space at Stevens, religious student leaders are working on a formal proposal calling for the space which they hope to submit to administration before the end of finals.
