As their time winds down as members of the 2016 Student Government Association Cabinet, President Matt Hunt, Vice President Jess Smith, Chair of the Committee on Student Interests Tommy Daly, Treasurer Jacob Vanderbilt, Secretary Amy DiGerolamo, and also Speaker Reeba James have provided updates on current initiatives and issues facing the larger student body as they vote for their next cabinet and the new SGA constitution in the coming week.

After a yearlong selection process following the leave of Lisa Dolling, the College of Arts and Letters officially named Dr. Kelland Thomas as its new dean in March.
As I am writing this, a proud student of the College of Arts and Letters (read: tour guide) at our historically engineering-focused school, there is a nationwide conversation on the importance of the humanities in STEM, or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics fields like the one we as Stevens students engage in.
A serious fire broke out in the 500 block of Washington Street last Saturday. Starting around 10:00 p.m. of unknown origin, the fire affected buildings containing residential space, a Verizon store, Washington General Store, Dear Hannah clothing store, and local Indian Bistro, Karma Kafe.
