[Meet the Greeks] Alpha Phi Omega

Welcome Class of 2021! We are so excited to have you join the Stevens Community. We are Alpha Phi Omega (APO), a co-ed service fraternity founded on the principles of leadership, friendship, and service. Our mission is to provide our members the opportunity to develop their leadership skills as they volunteer to do service for the organization, for campus, for the Hoboken community, and for the nation and the world. Some of our most popular service events include:  co-hosting a “Kitten Party” during finals with Kappa Sigma to benefit the Liberty Humane Society, working the Hoboken MutzFest, and serving meals at the local homeless shelter. In addition to service events, we also offer a wide variety of fun bonding events including Apple Picking, white water rafting, and movie nights! Finally, we offer leadership development workshops, as well as opportunities to attend conferences with brothers from all over the world.

Alpha Phi Omega is the largest organization on campus with around 200 members. Because we are a service fraternity, Alpha Phi Omega is the only greek organization you can join your first semester freshman year. Additionally, you can also join both APO and a social greek organization. Since we recruit in the fall and spring, we are excited to hopefully meet some of you this semester during our APO is Out Of This World rush! We will be having open events throughout the first two weeks of classes, so keep an eye out for advertisements for specific events. Contact Emily Raque and Max Cool at apotarecruitment@gmail.com if you want to learn more about participating in APO rush or have questions about joining the brotherhood.
