Democratic Primary 2020: Return of the Bern
Alright folks, a quick preface: In the interest of keeping this column below 2,000 words, I will be doing a limited breakdown of each candidate.
The Stute
As of 2 p.m. on Wednesday, February 27, there is no space left in Stevens Leased Housing (SLH).
Wednesday was only the first of two selection days for “sophomore” students, meaning all students given a Thursday selection time were immediately added to the wait list.
The race for the presidency and the Democratic nomination are quickly heating up. According to Politico, as of right now, there are currently 10 Democratic candidates who have launched exploratory committees or declared their candidacy.

On February 22, 2019, at the Liberty Science Center, Stevens students celebrated the 10th Annual Founder’s Day Ball.
An accumulation of work from multiple organizations, Founder’s Day Ball was hosted by the Office of Student Life and the Division of Student Affairs, funded by the Student Government Association, and organized by the Founder’s Day Ball Committee, with assistance from the Entertainment Committee.
The SGA formed an Audit Committee in order to audit RSOs that the Committee on Student Interests (CSI) believes to have committed a budgetary violation.
The latest punishment for violating the Stevens Honor System has been doled out: a student, Jeremy Wilkerson, has been sentenced to opening the notoriously heavy leftmost front door of Howe.
The stress of registering for classes among Stevens students has largely been caused by the issue of priority registration. However, things are about to change.
