Creating a more sustainable campus

Issues of environmental friendliness and sustainability, and as they relate to Stevens, have been making headlines recently. In January, it was officially announced to the school by Frank LoCastro, Assistant Vice President for Facilities and Campus Operations, that the university has partnered with Emerald Brand to include tree-free paper products in our bathrooms.

Campaign finance is… weird

Campaign finance is a very tricky subject. On one hand, no one should be able to buy an election, but on the other we have a nearly unrestricted right to free speech.

Faculty on the rise

As a well-renowned institution, students both undergraduate and graduate reap the benefits of the name of Stevens Institute of Technology. In 2018, a whopping 96% of Stevens graduates of the Class of 2018 had job security or admission to a graduate school within six months of graduation.

Committee forms to reduce smoking on campus

At the end of 2019, concerns were raised about the smoking practices at Stevens, especially with regard to how well rules regarding smoking were being enforced.

150 years of Stevens history documented in new website

In preparation for the celebration of the 150th anniversary of Stevens, President Farvardin’s 150th Implementation Steering Committee has launched Stevens150.com, a website detailing Stevens history and notable stories of Stevens students, faculty, and their achievements.
