Nearly nine months after Stevens first moved to online instruction due to COVID-19, an abundance of virtual events continue to be offered to students.

It’s our last article of the semester, but we’ll be damned if literally anything has happened for the last couple of weeks, so in the interest of not ragging on the SGA for longer than is funny (or until they incur our wrath again), Off the Press is going to end this unique semester with a community update article full of fun little “micro-stories” that have all been rigorously researched and are chock-full of that sweet ol’ Off the Press charm that we are legally and biologically required to produce.

Since 2018, Stevens Christian Fellowship (SCF) has been supporting Operation Christmas Child, a project run by Samaritan’s Purse. The purpose of Operation Christmas Child is to provide Christmas gifts to children in need by packing a shoebox with toys and essentials.
In March 2020, Congress passed the CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act) that provided coronavirus relief funding to higher education, among other things.
On November 17, first-year students living in Castle Point Hall (CPH) this semester were notified via email that they will not be able to live in CPH for the upcoming spring semester.
After years of informal lobbying for the establishment of a dedicated prayer and meditation space at Stevens, religious student leaders are working on a formal proposal calling for the space which they hope to submit to administration before the end of finals.
