Last week, Stevens President Nariman Farvardin released an update of progress on the goals found in the 10-year strategic plan. These updates, which are published online for the public annually, give tremendous and comprehensive insights into the affairs of Stevens, ranging from undergraduate life to internal operations.
Despite being very new, the Biology program is currently undergoing major changes. Led by Program Director Dr. Kenny Wong, the introductory course Biology and Biotechnology has gone through massive changes this spring semester.

Last week, President Nariman Farvardin cut the ribbon at the ceremonial opening of the new Student Center. This new space, which underwent roughly two years of renovation and was previously known as Alexander House, will be the location in which student organizations, the Intercultural Space, new common areas, and Undergraduate Student Life will be located moving forward.
As the student populace of Stevens begins the Spring semester and returns to the routine trials of coursework, students often wonder if the intense workload Stevens lays upon its academic tenants is really worth it.
After a financial and philosophical dilemma over the funding of the Gateway Academic Center and naming of Gianforte Family Hall, students began to question the source of funding for other campus construction projects like the University Center/Student Housing project.
When students came back from winter break, they were greeted with a sight that that hadn’t been there when they left: two large cranes, red and blue, overlooking the current construction of the new University Center/Student Housing project.
Given the national trend in suicide among college students, to which Stevens is not immune, administrators outlined goals that Stevens should meet to properly address our mental health crisis, according to an email sent out by Marybeth Murphy, the Vice President of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management, on November 19.
