As the majority of undergraduates at Stevens continue the fall semester completely virtually, freshman students are experiencing an in-person first year as many of them are allowed on the Stevens campus.

Trevor Dameika is a sophomore Biomedical Engineering major and has been a member of the Stute for two years and is the News Editor of the Stute. Trevor writes for campus news and sports. Trevor is particularly interested in all types of sports and the tea going around campus. Aside from the Stute, Trevor is also involved in ultimate frisbee and Stevens Christian Fellowship.
It is no secret that a lot of the candy eaten on Halloween is artificially flavored. If you take a look at the ingredients listed on many popular candies, after sugar or high fructose corn syrup you will probably see “natural and artificial flavors” or even just “artificial flavors.”
From August 21 to September 9, the Office of Development and Alumni Engagement sponsored a campaign to support both the Hoboken and Stevens community.
On April 21, Marybeth Murphy, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, announced that Stevens had made the decision to postpone an in-person graduation until October 2020.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be prevalent everyday, many schools and universities are making decisions to postpone certain activities. On April 21, Stevens announced that the 2020 Commencement ceremony was postponed from the original date of May 20 to October 17.
Luke Bowyer, a freshman at Stevens, started showing symptoms of COVID-19 on March 29. He was willing to share his personal story about the effects it has had on his life.
Although many Hoboken residents are staying home to fulfill their employment duties, construction workers are still showing up in-person to continue working.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the majority of students have returned to their respective homes. As a result, some students have had to adapt to a change in time zone.
Both the men’s and women’s lacrosse teams lost in their Empire 8 Conference Championship last spring. Both squads look to improve in their new conference, MAC Freedom, and capture a conference title.
The Stevens Ducks wrestling team, ranked eighth in Division Three (D-III), and junior Brett Kaliner clinched the MAC Conference Championship over a month ago.
