Isabella is serving her second term as Editor-in-Chief of The Stute. She's a fifth-year Industrial and Systems Engineering student at Stevens, and she's been with The Stute since February 2022. Before stepping into her current role, Isabella was the Layout Editor for the 2022-2023 school year. She's passionate about both leadership and design, and loves contributing to The Stute as it continues to grow and engage the Stevens community.

On Monday, October 9, President Farvardin sent a school-wide email that I found very disappointing. It was sent as a timely response to the recently declared war in Israel, urging students to “foster kindness, support and appreciation for others and to model inclusivity and compassion” and directing them towards available mental health support resources.
It was a dark and stormy morning on Friday, September 29, at 7 a.m. when Isy and Ava set out to do the impossible: deliver the fourth issue of The Stute across campus — a seemingly ordinary day transformed into an unforgettable tall tale of two girls braving the Stevens deluge.
This weekend marks the infamous “birthday weekend,” a time when many of my friends and I celebrate another year around the sun.
Picture this: I’m sitting in the dining hall after ordering my Taylor ham and cheese sandwich (NO EGGS), debating what to write about this week, and my friend suggested I write about eggs.
For those of you who have never been a part of The Stute’s production, you may not know how much goes into each issue we release.
The vaguest part of the description for my role as editor-in-chief is to “ensure the successful fulfillment of The Stute’s purpose.”
As the editor-in-chief of The Stute, I am proud to highlight the accomplishments and the journey of the senior class of 2023.
As the semester comes to an end, we are all faced with the daunting task of final papers, presentations, and exams to complete before we can get to our summer plans.
