Although I have a month until I walk across the stage at graduation, the time has finally come for my last column.

Alex Murtagh is a senior civil engineering major and has been a member of the Stute for four years. He is the former Outreach Chair, writes about university affairs, and conducts high-level interviews. Additionally, he previously wrote the campus conservative column. Aside from the Stute, Alex is also involved in Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Chi Epsilon, the Civil Engineering Honor Society, and is the founder of the martial arts and self-defense club.
With only a couple more weeks to write this column, I have a lot on my mind. There are so many topics that I wanted to talk about, but I simply no longer have the time to write them now that graduation is right around the corner.
It’s been four years, I still don’t know where to start, I still don’t know where I’m going, and I still can’t put into words why Stevens is so special.
The weather is finally warming up and we all know what that means for this Jersey boy. Whenever I’m not working (or avoiding the things I should be doing), you can find me outside enjoying this beautiful weather.
Well, it finally looks like the Freshman Plague (aka freshmanitis) that goes around each year finally got Snevets to close its doors.
I’ve always done my best to live by this idea. To be better today than I was yesterday. It’s a fairly simple concept and falls directly in line with the idea that we must not compare ourselves to others, as hard as that can be.
I am by no means a good Catholic, but I’m also not the worst by any means. Sure, I’ve been through confirmation and communion, but if you were to ask me anything about the Bible, I would know a couple of stories and a few prayers.
For the first time in a while, I said no to going out and doing something with my friends. Now you may wonder, why would anyone turn down seeing their friends after having spent almost a year in isolation?
