Stevens Men’s Swim Team wins seventh consecutive E8 Conference Championship

On February 23, the Stevens Men’s Swim Team won their seventh E8 Conference Championship in a row. They placed first out of five teams with a score of 993 points.

The team had several outstanding performers. Daniel Rosenberger finished third in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 16:40.06. Samuel Fuller finished second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:54.63, Blake Holland was in third place at 1:54.69, and Daniel Hold was in fourth at 1:57.76. Theodore Jagodits was in second place for the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 45.87. Tyler Zanki came in first place in the 200-yard breaststroke at 2:00.43, earning him a “B” cut time. Tristan Dixon came in third place in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:56.38, and Vincent Tavoletti was in fourth place at 1:56.43. Blake Holland, Theodore Jagodits, Trevor Hinds, and Jonas Lackey came in first place in the 400-yard freestyle relay at 3:04.07.

Additionally, Tyler Zanki was named the Male Swimmer of the Meet and head coach Paul Hughes was named the Men’s Coach of the Meet. Hughes says he is “very proud of the teams for staying focused and positive over 3.5 days of racing.”

The swimmers are still waiting to hear if any individuals or relays qualified for the NCAA Championships.
