Kappa Sigma Hosts “Wing Night” for Hurricane Relief

On Wednesday, September 27, 2017, Kappa Sigma hosted a “Wing Night” in Jacobus lounge to raise money for the American Red Cross, an organization supporting victims of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria. The fraternity provided two flavors of wings — honey barbecue and spicy buffalo — from Hansel and Griddle. The fundraiser was “very successful,” according to Leon Kirman, the fundraising chair of Kappa Sigma. “We’re not even halfway done, and we’ve sold 400 wings,” said Kirman after one hour of the three-hour event. The fraternity encouraged all students to come out and help support the cause, and the fundraiser accrued approximately $200 by the end of the night.
