Little Chinatown

Little Chinatown, presented by the Chinese Student Association (CSA), took place in Babbio Atrium on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017.  The event was intended to replicate the Taiwanese night market scene, so there were games, street food, and many people. A record breaking 180 people attended the event. Two main games to play were a fishing game, and a ring toss with ducks. After playing these games, one could win tickets to redeem for prizes – namely snacks. “It was really fun to watch people keep playing the games we had over, and over again,” said CSA President Abby Kaye. “And of course the food and snacks ran out within the first hour, which is always a good sign.” Snacks included Pocky, Hello Panda, Ramune, Yan Yan, HiChew, as well as dumplings and spring rolls.  CSA Secretary Tracy Wong said “So far, the [e]board seems much stronger this year, so I’m optimistic. Based off of this event, I think attendance at our events will only be increasing, and same goes for our meetings. We are adding cultural lessons each meeting. At our next GBM, we will have a Chinese yo-yo workshop, so come check us out!”

The next CSA general body meeting will be on Sept. 28 at 9:00 pm in BC 210.
