[Meet the Greeks] Lambda Upsilon Lambda

Since its establishment at Cornell University on February 19, 1982, La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda Fraternity, Incorporated has been at the forefront addressing the issues that affect the Latino community for the past 35 years. La Unidad Latina primarily seeks to take a leadership role in m
eeting the needs of the Latino community through academic achievement, leadership, promotion of cultural awareness, and community service. The Alpha Alpha Chapter of La Unidad Latina, Lambda Upsilon Lambda, Fraternity Inc., was founded at Stevens Institute of Technology on September 7th, 1997 by five determined Latino gentlemen who have created a legacy of greatness in this chapter.
The Alpha Alpha Chapter has left an indelible mark on the Stevens campus. Through their volunteerism, the organization has raised awareness to major issues and has raised thousands of dollars toward providing access to higher education in the community. The brothers of this fraternity are leaders on campus, serving on the executive board for many organizations, serving as admissions ambassadors, orientation leaders, etc. The chapter was recognized as Chapter of the year by its National Council in 2015 and Organization of the Year on the Stevens Campus in 2016. The chapter will continue to strive for greatness for many years to come offering professional development through an extensive alumni network.
