Alpha Sigma Phi wins Safe Driving pledge contest

Alpha Sigma Phi crestWhen the Greek community at Stevens was notified of a contest to win money for their national fraternity, houses jumped at the chance to win.
The contest was sponsored by Plymouth Rock Assurance. The task was simple, sign a pledge to remain focused on the road while driving, not on other activities.

Where some houses faltered, others took the initiative to win. Alpha Sigma Phi emerged victorious by getting 898 pledges in the name of their fraternity. Phi Sigma Sigma came second with 369, while Theta Phi Alpha was third with 340.

As winners they have won $2500 for their national philanthropy.

Interestingly enough, Alpha Sigma Phi does not have one philanthropy, but five for each of the Fraternity’s Five Values.
