The Stute Editorial is an Opinion column written by the current Editor in Chief of The Stute to address and explain editorial decision making, discuss news and media issues, and develop a sense of trust and transparency between readers and members of The Stute.
Being Editor-in-Chief is not an easy task. There are a lot of people to appease, such as fellow Stupers, Attila, Pearl from Pierce, the general student body — and a lot of people to make fun of, such as Pinnacle Scholars and IT, or, more specifically, the hamster running the WiFi on campus.
Spring break: the long-awaited, highly anticipated break that university students get from their classes, responsibilities, and the general obligations of life.
Anniversaries are generally a reason for celebration. Birthdays, the start of a new relationship, and notable cultural events are among some of the anniversaries we celebrate each year (many of which involve cake, which I certainly am a fan of).
When you abstract music to its basic elements, it’s simply a mixture of different sound vibrations, frequencies, and sometimes lyrics. Somehow, these three items are combined in infinite ways to produce unique listening experiences, and I feel that it’s these unique productions that bind us together as a community.
Wow. The past week has definitely been a whirlwind, to say the least. I’ve spent a great deal of time just familiarizing myself with the role of Editor, sifting through emails, and just digesting what I’ve undertaken.
Not very long ago, I decided to attend my first Stute meeting. Well, I shouldn’t say that I decided, rather it was my freshman roommate who dragged me to the Howe Building that night to attend The Stute’s first General Body Meeting.
It’s been difficult to summarize everything I’ve wanted to say in what might be the last words I’ll ever write for The Stute, in my final editorial of the last issue of The Stute I will edit.
When Stevens announced that the first two weeks of the Spring 2022 semester would be remote instruction, I was anxious that in two weeks, we wouldn’t be returning to in-person operations, but continuing on remotely for the entirety of the semester.
Welcome to my obligatory goodbye for the semester, as The Stute wraps up production and publishes the last issue until 2022.
