There are less than 24 days until WrestleMania. WrestleMania, for those who don’t know or who write off the professional wrestling industry entirely due to general dislike or irrational hatred, is the “Super Bowl of professional wrestling” — the biggest event in the wrestling industry, and a soon-to-be 31-year-old tradition for WWE.

On November 15, 2013, the first The Stute Smackdown debuted. The title of the column was “Something you don’t outgrow,” and that was referring to professional wrestling, one of the greater passions of the column’s author (me).

Following the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on February 23, the WWE Universe expected a spectacular Raw. With the WWE Network launching, Hulk Hogan returning, and the rumored return of The Undertaker (which came true), there was no way that the post-Elimination Chamber Raw could not be a fantastic show.
As is evident by my rather convoluted title, there was much that happened this past Monday on Raw. It all began on Monday for WWE.
What a bizarre past few months it has been for WWE! On one level, there has been severe backlash from the fans with the departure of CM Punk from the company and the return of Batista – ending Daniel Bryan’s opportunity to participate in the main event of WrestleMania 30 and win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (assuming he loses at Elimination Chamber).
