This past Monday, our campus was graced with the presence of Dr. Connie Mariano, a woman of many firsts. Not only was she the first military woman to become the White House physician to the President, but she was the first woman director of the White House Medical Unit, and the first Filipino-American in U.S.

Recently, it’s been quite difficult to find exciting music news. There have been no defining social moments in music so far in 2018, except for the Grammys, which saw Kendrick Lamar robbed yet again in the Album of the Year category, and saw disappointing yields for Lorde’s Melodrama and SZA’s Ctrl.
Before you even ask, I am not here to talk about the Castle Point Anime Convention. Rather, I am here to share my awesome experience at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
For about the past month, I have been sick almost every week, which has meant a lot of sleeping and resting for me.

Even if you are not into fashion, you’ve probably heard the name Virgil Abloh an awful lot lately. After all, he is a creative director for Kanye West, designer of his uber-popular brand Off-White, DJ (performs under the name “Flat-White”), architect (designed furniture and is releasing a collaboration with IKEA later this year), artist (recently took over London’s Gagosian Gallery for a collaborative exhibit with Takashi Murakami featuring prints and sculptures and designed the album art for Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Watch the Throne, and Yeezus and Lil Uzi Vert’s Luv Is Rage 2), and lecturer (so far at Columbia University, Rhode Island School of Design, and Harvard University).
Today, it was brought to my attention that I let classes, and the fact that I’m not doing as well as I feel I should be in them, get to me and bring me down.
A common complaint I get is that I’m hugely biased towards Asian/fusion restaurants in my reviews. For the most part, that’s completely true.
It is not even March yet and already there have been 18 school shootings in the U.S. Eighteen!
It’s almost as if this number is screaming at people for something to change, but instead people decided to argue over what characterizes a “school shooting.”
This week brings us to the conclusion of New York Fashion Week, which seems to show us the outdated modes and is the most tired affair of the fashion shows.
