On Friday, May 1, Stevens hosted the annual Innovation Exposition to showcase this year’s Senior Design projects. While this event is usually characterized by seniors placing rows of display tables throughout campus with large crowds browsing their work, this year’s expo was different because of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis: it took place entirely online.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be prevalent everyday, many schools and universities are making decisions to postpone certain activities. On April 21, Stevens announced that the 2020 Commencement ceremony was postponed from the original date of May 20 to October 17.
Each year, Senior Design students present their final projects at the Innovation Expo, with an opportunity to potentially compete in the Ansary Entrepreneurship Competition that follows.
The results of the Stevens Alumni Association Class of 2020 Officers election were announced, with Luke Langner to serve as President, Ryan Tom as Vice President, Jacob Schozer as Fund Captain, and Alexander Murtagh as Secretary.
While world leaders and medical professionals debate how much longer people across the globe must continue to practice social distancing measures and shelter at home, Stevens is hopeful that the student body will return to campus for the fall semester.
