Stevens Institute of Technology President Nariman Farvardin welcomed Dr. Curtis Carlson to serve as the next lecturer in the President’s Distinguished Lecture Series this past Wednesday.

A train crashed full speed into the Hoboken Terminal on Sept. 29 at approximately 8:45 a.m. The train started in Spring Valley, NY and was traveling through Hoboken on the Pascack Valley line.

On Tuesday, the Latin American Association (LAA) hosted its fourth annual Latin Jazz Night in Jacobus Lounge. Held in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the celebration featured the musical group Grupo Guarachando and traditional Hispanic food such as empanadas and pan de bono.
SAVE, Students Against Violating the Earth, hosted a DIY eco-friendly product event on Tuesday in Hayden Lounge. The event gave both visitors and environmental club members the opportunity to make their own soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and toothpastes out of all-natural ingredients for free.

On Wednesday, September 28th, The Filipino Association of Stevens Tech (FAST) hosted the Masskara Festival. Maskara, also known as the Festival Smiles, instills positivity and happiness.
The College Republicans hosted a viewing of the Presidential Debate with Students Against Violating the Earth (SAVE) last Monday night in Burchard 118.
