If you were on campus last Friday, you might have noticed seniors walking around campus, sporting their best professional attire. If you were curious about why these dressed up seniors were walking into Walker, Canavan, and other campus buildings, and if you went to investigate for yourself, you would have seen hundreds of students regaling each other with their scientific discoveries.

It is almost that time of the year, Stevens! Commencement is right around the corner, and this year will mark Stevens Institute of Technology’s 147th Commencement Ceremony.
“Sisters forever heart and soul. True to our goals red and gold,” chanted seven women marched out of Howe to Castle Point Lookout.
On Wednesday, members of the student body, faculty, and staff cheered on the graduating seniors as they processed down from Walker Gym to Babbio Patio, in a tradition the school started last year called “The Wittpenn Walk.”

Two weeks ago in Canavan Arena, the Ethnic Student Council (ESC) continued a wonderful tradition on campus — Unity Showcase. This year, the theme was “Our Beginnings,” highlighting the cultural roots of Stevens’ cultural organizations.
Stevens students, administrators, and alumni gathered in Kidde 228 this past Wednesday to discuss the state of life for underrepresented groups at Stevens at the LGBTQ+ Town Hall.
Stevens unveiled a Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan prior two weeks ago on April 10, 2019. In the email addressed to all students, faculty, and staff, Marybeth Murphy, Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, explained “some of the initiatives we have undertaken during the past year to support our students and enhance their well-being.”
Rainbows dressed up campus this past Wednesday as Stevens students celebrated Pride Day. Events happening throughout the day were hosted by several campus organizations, including a Pride Celebration on Schaefer Lawn hosted by Torch Alliance and a LGBTQ+ Open Forum hosted by the Student Government Association (SGA).
