Updates on 2023 commencement ceremony

As the end fall semester quickly approaches, much of the senior class is beginning to focus on the end of the spring semester and one day in particular: the commencement ceremony.

Leaders Impacting Technology leadership retreat

On November 19, Stevens students headed to Camp Mason for the Leaders Impacting Technology (L.I.T) Leadership Retreat. Camp Mason is a YMCA summer camp located in Hardwick Township and is open to group trips such as school retreats.

StevensTHON hosts inaugural Snow Ball

On December 4, StevensTHON hosted their first-ever Snow Ball. StevensTHON is a student organization that raises awareness and money for Children’s Specialized Hospital, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, and is part of the Miracle Network Dance Marathon movement across multiple schools.

Student Affairs appoints Dr. Takeem Dean as Assistant Vice President

Student Affairs has recently announced its appointment of a new Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs: Takeem L. Dean, Ed.D. Dean’s responsibilities will include supervising the “Office of Residential Education, the Office of Residential and Dining Services, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and the Office of Community Standards and Title IX.

Stevens grad helps NASA get images of Mars’ surface

While many scientists keep exploring Earth and its wonders, Matthew Brand aims to shoot for space, more particularly for Mars. A Stevens’ 2021 alumni, Brand was first inspired by the Curiosity car-sized rover launched on Mars a few years back and found his niche later at Stevens as he combined his computer science degree and his interest in space when he joined Professor Paul Grogan’s research team.
