With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to affect schooling, members of the Stevens administration and other college professionals have been tasked with deciding whether classes should be in person, fully remote, or a third option: a hybrid learning environment.
Over the years, TechFest has been a Stevens tradition hosted by the Entertainment Committee (EC). Last year, due to the outbreak of COVID-19, EC was unable to plan the event, but this year, they’re back with the festivities.
“When was the last time you were courageous?” Milena Sudarikov asked, amidst an engaged crowd at an event called Roundtable Discussion: Dialogues on the Topic of Courage, a discussion between professors and students centered around journalism.
March will be an exciting month, as students can say goodbye to the days of waking up in the wee hours of the morning and preparing for a morning of frantically refreshing the Student Web Self Services portal on myStevens, hoping to successfully achieve one of your seven pre-planned schedules.
Last year’s virtual commencement ceremony was held on October 18, 2020. Commencement planning usually takes several months, and last year’s planning reportedly started in July of the previous year.
Friday, July 12 was Jennifer A. McDonough’s last day as an administrator at Stevens. McDonough officially joined the Stevens community as the Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations (VPDAE) only seven months prior on January 14.
