Over the past year, numerous changes have been made to the infrastructure of Snevets campus. From the completion of the Babbio garage to the renovation of the Pound House, life at Snevets has never been better.

Alex Murtagh is a senior civil engineering major and has been a member of the Stute for four years. He is the former Outreach Chair, writes about university affairs, and conducts high-level interviews. Additionally, he previously wrote the campus conservative column. Aside from the Stute, Alex is also involved in Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Chi Epsilon, the Civil Engineering Honor Society, and is the founder of the martial arts and self-defense club.

As I’m sure you’re well aware, this past Tuesday was the 2018 midterm elections. Just one year ago, the political pundits were saying we would see a massive blue wave.
As Americans, I believe that it is our obligation to get out and vote every time there is an election. It is the people who we elect that have the ability to decide what our local, state, and federal governments look like.
With the midterm election cycle coming to a close, it’s important for Republicans and Democrats to make their best efforts to convince the American people that they should be in charge.
