Another successful Fall Fest under the EC’s belt

As the leaves begin to crinkle and we start approaching midterms, Stevens is welcoming fall with open arms. On October 7, the Entertainment Committee (EC) hosted their annual Fall Fest, packed with fun activities and chances to engage with the season before it turns too cold to enjoy being outside.

Despite winds and seasonal chills, Schaefer Lawn was transformed into a classic farm vibe, complete with a pumpkin patch and white tents reminiscent of greenhouses. Attendees were able to pick out a pumpkin and decorate it using provided paints or just take one to spice up their dorms and homes. In between rousing games of cornhole, students enjoyed comforting autumn staples, including apple cider donuts, pumpkin pound cake, hot apple cider, and hot chocolate, as well as charcuterie snacks. Compared with last year, less food was provided. The event came complete with music, courtesy of a live DJ. Students also enjoyed a special visit from Tillie, who was all too happy to frolic through the pumpkins and try to steal people’s food.

We spoke to Event Co-Directors Autumn Gallicchio (2/4 Accounting & Analytics) and  Evan Papageorge (4/4 Civil Engineering, Music & Technology) about the Fall Fest and what went on behind the scenes. Gallicchio explained her view as an organizer: “Planning a large event like Fall Fest requires a lot of time and effort, but it is all so worth it when you get to watch your event become the highlight of people’s day. The 2026 event was one of EC’s largest Fall Fests to date, which makes me feel so proud since it is the first event I have run as EC’s Co-director.” She also reminded us we have another event to look forward to this semester: “I can’t wait to begin planning Winter Wonderland for this upcoming December to make it special for all the first-years and returning students here at Stevens!”

Anyone in attendance could see the event was a success, as students swarmed everywhere and lines for food and pumpkins snaked along pathways. Papageorge expressed his excitement: “I am very happy to say that Fall Fest was a successful event! With 700 attendees, I loved watching everyone enjoy the games, pumpkins, food, and fall vibes! We are looking forward to hosting another great Fall Fest next year — and now we’re heading to a season of planning for Winter Wonderland on December 2!”

The Fall Fest was a resounding success, but the Entertainment Committee is far from done. The EC also plans several other events, including the upcoming Winter Wonderland on December 2.
