The LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup is a way to measure the success of a school’s overall athletic department based on their NCAA Championship performances. It was developed through a partnership between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics and USA Today. These athletic departments have the opportunity to score in up to 18 sports, including mandatory scoring in both Men’s and Women’s Basketball and Soccer.
To finish off the 2025-26 academic year, the Stevens Institute of Technology athletic department placed 34th in the LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup standings, marking their fourth consecutive year finishing top 36 nationally.
While starting strong with 125 points during the fall and 82 points in the winter, the Ducks showed their strength with 291 points in the spring, bringing them to 498 total points gained during NCAA Championship play throughout the year. That total of 498 points led all institutions in the Middle Atlantic Conference and placed them third among all other colleges and universities in New Jersey. Leading the Ducks in the spring was Men’s Lacrosse with 64 points. Following them was Women’s Lacrosse and Men’s and Women’s Tennis, all with 50 points, and finally Men’s Volleyball and Men’s Golf with 45 and 32 points respectively.
To top off their success of the 2025-26 year, the Ducks had 13 MAC and MAC Freedom team championships as well as conference-best 10 MAC Senior-Scholar Athlete Awards. With the start of the 2026-27 year, we can’t wait to see what our Ducks accomplish this year.
