Men’s Tennis falls to Haverford College

On Saturday, April 18, the Men’s Tennis team fell to Haverford College after earning a win against DeSales University in Middle Atlantic Freedom Conference play.

In the doubles, the Ducks fell in all three matches. Junior Samvid Andhare, senior Max-William Kanz, first-year Renat Kramin, and sophomore Dhaivik Chenemilla all lost with scores of 6-4. Additionally, junior Tristan Wroe and first-year Ian Batra fell 6-2.

Stevens ended doubles down 3-0. Following that were the singles matches, where the Ducks persisted. Despite their efforts, they were knocked down in five of their matches. However, they were able to leave the singles round with one point from Andhare with a 6-4, 6-3 win. Even with the win, the Ducks took losses from Wroe, Chenemilla, Kanz, Kramin, and Batra, which pushed Haverford further in the lead.

The match ended at 6-1, in favor of Haverford, but the Ducks will return this Saturday, April 25, to host TCNJ and Lebanon Valley College. The matches will be held on the Bayonne Tennis Courts, with the Ducks facing TCNJ at 10 a.m. and Lebanon Valley at 2 p.m.
