No. 13 Stevens meets No. 8 York in ranked matchup

The Ducks faced No. 7 York (PA) College women’s lacrosse in a non-conference matchup in York, PA, on Saturday afternoon, April 4, 2026, falling 11–4. Both teams now hold a 7–4 record. 

Stevens recorded one goal in each quarter, while York used stronger second and third periods to separate from the Ducks. The two teams were evenly matched in shot attempts during the first half, each recording 15, but York entered halftime with a 5–2 lead.

Sophomore Alina Friz led Stevens offensively with two goals, while Sydney Mentzer paced York with three. 

Stevens tied the game early in the second quarter following a free-position goal, but York responded with a series of goals to regain control heading into halftime. In the third quarter, Stevens briefly cut into the deficit before York extended its lead with five goals in the period.

Defensively, junior Kailyn Vautour recorded nine saves in net, while seniors Maggie Zarish-Yasunas and Eran Gleason each contributed two caused turnovers.

Stevens will look ahead to its next contest on April 8 at 6 p.m., traveling to face the FDU-Florham women’s lacrosse.
