On March 8, Snevets announced its plans to build a wall across campus to block the cool breeze caused by the high winds in
Margarita, President Narfarvar’s Chief of Finance, stated on his morning walk in the park last Tuesday that the construction of the wall will cost $1.5 million. Snevets plans to finance this cost by increasing the student lab fees and charging students a new fee for recitations. This need for more funds comes from the current Student Chief of Finance putting Snevets in debt because she purchased $500,000 worth of furniture to refurbish her new office. When asked to comment on her purchase, she said, “I love my $30,000 imported couch from Sweden.”
We asked Kaitlyn, a senior Chemical Engineer, about her thoughts on the wall, and she said, “It’s better than the rope idea they had.”
Margarita later commented that he believes students will be happy to know that the wall will only be the second most expensive thing at Snevets.
