SWiCS Buzzfeed Speaker

On Tuesday, March 4, Stevens Women in Computer Science held an event with a speaker from Buzzfeed, Caroline Amaba. Amaba graduated from Stevens in 2012 and has been a Senior Software Engineer at Buzzfeed for two years. Before that, she worked at VaynerMedia. She discussed life at her former company and at BuzzFeed, and said that, yes, the employees do get to sample food from Tasty. She told the audience that she had particularly enjoyed the vegetarian chili. She also discussed the benefits of knowing both computer science and design, and recommended the class “Human and Computer Interaction.” Her advice for college students? “Get an internship!”
