SITTV holds its first live production of “On Point with Christian Chiu”

SITTV held its first live production of “On Point with Christian Chiu” last Friday. This production is the first SITTV production to feature a live studio audience.

“On Point with Chris Chiu” is a SITTV show hosted by Christian Chiu that satirizes aspects of Stevens. In the past, he has satirized aspects like the SGA’s festival submission process and HangoverLyte. In this episode, Chiu focused on satirizing the RA Recruitment Videos, aspects of SITTV, the SGA presidential candidates, and the “Please Vote Yes on the Constitution” logo found on advertisements around campus.

The planning for the event began weeks prior to the event. The script for this episode was written two weeks prior to the event. On the Wednesday before the event, rehearsal was held, and the SITTV News filming, which occurred earlier in the day, served as the technical rehearsal. “This shoot was unlike any other we’ve done before because we had to monitor the crowd’s audio, as well as Chris’s audio. Everything worked perfectly, and we are definitely planning on doing more shoots with a live audience,” said Koby Gracia, the director of the show. Additionally, the event produced a large studio audience that occupied all of the available seating in the SITTV studio. Everyone in the audience enjoyed the show, as evidenced by their laughs in the background of the video.

Lead technical staff of “On Point with Christian Chiu, Episode 4: Let’s Make Videos #GreatAgain” was Christian Chiu as writer and producer, Koby Garcia as director, and Phil Fishbein as stage manager. The video can be viewed on the SITTV YouTube Channel or the SITTV Facebook page.
