Ranked: Stevens earns 4.5 stars in new “Money” best colleges 2026 rankings

Stevens Institute of Technology, for the third year in a row, obtained a spot on Money magazine’s “Best Colleges in America” list. This list ranks 735 colleges out of 5 stars, based on 25 data points including educational quality, affordability, and graduate outcomes, and is designed to serve as a guide to prospective students and their families to make wise economic decisions for their futures. Stevens ranks second-highest among universities in New Jersey on the list, sitting above Princeton University and below Drew University.

Core requirements include a minimum of 500 undergraduate students enrolled, accurate and recent data on alumni outcomes, and graduation rates above the median for its institutional category to be considered for a spot on the list. Colleges on the list must also be financially stable.

Stevens’ 4.5-star ranking adds to a growing list of monetary titles the university has accumulated, bolstering its national recognition of being one of the best financial-value colleges. Other prominent rankings include: No. 3 on Best Value Schools’ “Top 25 Computer Science Programs with the Best ROI,” No. 1 on NJ.com’s “35 N.J. colleges with the highest-paid grads,” and No. 9 among U.S. News’ “Colleges With the Best Return on Investment.”
