Colleges Against Cancer’s “Hair For Hope”

Colleges Against Cancer partnered with Telogen Hair Salon in Hoboken to hold “Hair For Hope” on Oct. 3. It took place in Jacobus Lounge to encourage girls to donate their hair. Two Telogen Hair Salon and Spa stylists donated their time to cut students’ hair, and the turnout resulted in 14 girls each donating at least eight inches of their hair. The hair will be sent to Pantene Beautiful Lengths under the American Cancer Society’s recommendation. The fundraiser is still going on; until Oct. 7, 15% of proceeds will be donated to the Colleges Against Cancer Making Strides Team for any students that show Colleges Against Cancer’s flyer during their hair appointment at Telogen. In addition to this, the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk in Jersey City is on Sunday, Oct. 28. For more information on how to participate in the walk, email relayforlife@stevens.edu.
