Stevens Italian Club celebrated Italian Easter, which similar to an Easter celebration in a traditional American household, Italian Easter features mostly Italian food, a huge gathering of family, and a religious component, common in many Italian households. The event, hosted on April 3, allowed students to enjoy traditional Italian food, paint ping-pong ball Easter eggs, play a giant game of Jenga, or greet friends with a “Buona Pasqua,” which means “Happy Easter” in Italian, according to Robert Mikesh, treasurer of the Stevens Italian Club.
The food was catered by CompassOne, to the surprise of many students. The Stute actually postponed their GBM so all the members had ample time to get some food.
The date of Stevens Italian Club’s next GBM has not been decided. Stevens Italian Club will also be hosting a “Cook Like an Italian” event later this semester.
