As part of Duck Days, a week long school spirit week usually held the week of Founder’s Day, Gear and Triangle hosted a talent show in Jacobus Lounge on Wednesday in collaboration with the Audio Engineering Club and the Stevens Performing Arts Advocady Group.
The performers were hand selected by Gear and Triangle members and included well-known groups on campus such as In The Works, Quackapella, and Floctaves, as well as a duo from the Strings Ensemble.
Jacobus Lounge was also decorated in yellow, orange, and red ribbons – Attila the Duck.
Cris Collado, Spirit Chair of Gear and Triangle, said, “Ducks on Display is what Spirit Week is all about, celebrating the talents and diversity of our peers is so important and I really do think this event did just that. All of the performers were absolutely captivating, from acapella to psychedlic rock, I learned more than I ever thought I could about the extent of talent we have in our community. Allowing students the opportunity to come together and support each other is something I’ve always valued and these organizations reaffirmed those values last night!”
The other events of Duck Days were Quack Cab, Cheese and Quackers, and today is Wear Red and Gray Day and tonight is Founder’s Day Ball hosted by the Student Government Association.
