A commonly seen, yet seldom explained, sight on Stevens campus is Slackline. Slackline is an event carried out by the Climbing and Mountaineering Club, in which a line is tied between two trees and participants try to walk across it. Although it is often seen casually whenever the weather is nice, an official competition was held on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.. The competition had three levels of difficulty: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. In each category except for beginner, competitors walked for as far and as long as they could along the line to win a hammock. Each section had two hammock winners. The beginners section was technically a raffle, and was good practice for whoever wanted to participate.
