This past week has definitely been a busy one. To start, I decided to take bio as my first science elective, and I can now say that I made the right choice. Biology has always been a strong suit of mine, and when we learned that we were having a test on the first seven chapters in the book, I was relatively calm. Sure, the night before and right before the exam I was a bit nervous, but overall I knew that if I thought everything through I should do fairly well.
I had my biology exam on Tuesday, and once that was over, I felt a bit more relaxed. This, however, was short lived because after that I had to prepare for my interview for a position as a counselor for the Stevens Summer Programs.
I had actually attended the Stevens Summer Program when I was a senior in high school. Since then, I had always wanted to be a counselor because I saw the effect they have on the students that attend the programs. Because of my counselors when I attended, I had become passionate about obtaining a position as a counselor myself for the programs that occur on campus during the summer months.
I really wanted to do well on the interview to become a counselor. When Wednesday came around, and it came time for the interview, I was both excited and a bit nervous for what was to come. Going into the interview, I didn’t really know what to expect, but afterward, I felt confident about how it went. I knew that I had nothing to worry about and that even if they didn’t hire me, I tried my best. After all, trying your best at something is all that you can do.
The last thing that was worrying me a bit this week was a mechanics quiz that I had on Friday. I was a nervous because physics isn’t really my strong suit, but luckily I had found someone to help me out with the material. With the help, I knew I was definitely going to do well on the quiz.
With my biology exam, physics quiz, and interview complete, I was definitely happy on Friday afternoon, for my hectic week was finally over.
