Relay for Life’s “Carnival for a Cure”

On Wednesday, February 24th, the Stevens Relay for Life organization hosted a carnival in the Babbio Center as part of their efforts to fundraise for this year’s Relay. The “Carnival for a Cure” was a huge success, generating $137 in just a few hours of operation and providing plenty of fun for all in attendance. There were a variety of games available for students to play, with a small donation and with winners receiving the classic Stevens rubber ducks! The event was also catered by Jimmy John’s, selling sandwiches with the proceeds going toward the cause. Students could also enjoy popcorn, cotton candy, and other assorted snacks during the carnival. There was quite a turn-out, with over one hundred students popping in and out to stop by and support the cause. The Stevens Relay for Life organization is putting all of its funds and resources toward hosting their second annual Relay for Life at Stevens in Late March/Early April. The proceeds go toward cancer research, prevention, and support efforts. For more information or to find out how you can help, contact Maria McClure at stevensrelay@gmail.com.
