Women’s Program’s board crafting helps students relax before finals

Jacobus Lounge was filled with magazines, scissors, and glue this past Tuesday night. Women’s Programs invited students to come make inspirational boards and relax before finals. While some decorated their boards with encouraging quotes, others decided to fill their boards with images.

Chatter filled the room and students mingled with one another. Talk of each other’s majors, plans after graduation, and travel destinations all filled the lounge. Students genuinely seemed relaxed and at ease as they prepared for the long tiring battle ahead, also known as finals week.

“This event is low key, but allows students to take a break from studying,” said student coordinator Jessica Smith.

Normally there is a massage event, but since there are massages available during Midnight Breakfast, it seemed redundant. This was the first time Women’s Programs tried board crafting. “I like seeing how different everyone’s board comes out,” said other student coordinator Taylor Carden.

Overall, it was a relaxing event with more than enough boards, stickers, and magazines to go around.
