Interview with Dean Kenneth Nilsen

From consoling struggling students in his office to organizing events that help students relieve stress and be active citizens on campus, Kenneth Nilsen, dean of students at the Undergraduate Student Life is here to make sure that students are open to the full freshman experience. Rather than being sitting ducks, Dean Nilsen stimulates a vibrant and exciting environment through various social events by incorporating intellectual aspects outside of classrooms walls. The Undergraduate Student Life partakes in the renowned Castle Point Anime Convention along with Entertainment Committee-affiliated festivities. Although Dean Nilsen works to have every student involved on campus, as well as the Hoboken community, our academic success precedes student entertainment. So how can a freshman like you be more involved in student life? As Dean Nilsen said, “Freshman can take a chance. Take a risk”.
