Most students do not feel the urge to wake up early on a Sunday morning. However, some compromised their time of rest and headed over to Hayden Lounge last Sunday, October 19, at 11:00 a.m. to obtain some breakfast and meet with people involved in the RHA, the Residence Hall Association.
Upon entering the lounge, students were greeted with friendly smiles and a table full of delicious, free breakfast items waiting to be eaten. Coffee, hot chocolate, and a variety of donuts and bagels from Dunkin Donuts were offered for students to munch on while socializing.
Many students at the event enjoyed the breakfast offered and the opportunity to meet up with the RAs and other familiar faces. Student Palash Mehta commented, “The breakfast was nice-bagels and coffee to get you on the ground!”
Another student, Nicole Maetta, saw the RHA breakfast as a way of bringing students together and giving back to the campus. “It was successful. It was good to bring the campus together, [and] we want more people to come.”
While some left after eating their donuts, others chatted idly and enjoyed the company of others. After an hour or so of eating, the party that remained conversed about a variety of topics, including discussions about the RHA itself.
Overall, everybody enjoyed the relaxed environment that the RHA breakfast provided, and the event gave attendees a chance to bond over bagels, regardless of being half-asleep.
