Cafetasia

In the heart of NYU’s established homebase lies an amazing Thai restaurant called Cafetasia. In general, the area between 14th Street and SoHo is filled with delicious, trendy, and affordable restaurants. It’s a place that caters to college students. Most definitely because the area is home to the aforementioned NYU populace.
At a glance, Cafetasia looks impressive. The exterior and interior are well designed. The place looks clean and busy, and there’s a ton of staff walking around and attending to patrons.
The food is top notch. Between the three of us, we ordered an appetizer sampler of Calamari, Gyoza, and Lobster and Cheese Rangoon. As for entrees, we got the Vietnamese Pork Chop, the Green Curry Chicken, and the Honey Roasted Duck. Naturally, it wouldn’t be a Thai experience without Thai Iced Tea, so we ordered several glasses of those as well. With so many items ordered, I anticipated that at least one thing would turn out bad. I was pleasantly surprised.
I was happy with everything we ordered. If I had to pick two, I favored the Calamari and the Honey Roasted Duck. They portioned the Duck well. At the end of my meal, I finished my plate without feeling too stuffed. The Green Curry Chicken and the Vietnamese Pork Chop were a bit too generously portioned. Even with the three of us sharing each other’s food, my two friends had to take half of their entrees home. Pricing wise, this place is extremely affordable. Our bill came out to about $65, with tax and tip included. It’s an amazing deal for a dinner for three in New York City, particularly with all the food that was ordered. Overall, I recommend this place to anyone. The food is fresh, affordable, and delicious, the staff are all friendly and attentive, and the prices are reasonable.Cuisine Green Curry Chicken Cuisine Vietnamese Pork Chop Cusiine Honey Glazed Duck Cuisine Appetizers
